The Phia Group Appoints Director of Plan Document Compliance to Enhance Phia Document Management® (PDM) Functionality
Canton, MA – December 10, 2025
New position will be instrumental in spearheading rollout of the latest iteration of PDM (PDM 2.0) for clients in 2026.
The Phia Group, LLC (“Phia”) today announced the hiring of Jeannie Comins-Roberts as its new Director of Plan Document Compliance. Jeannie’s wealth of healthcare administration experience, which includes over 20 years of claims administration, account management, and compliance work in the TPA industry, will be a vital asset in driving forward sweeping enhancements to the PDM service. Formerly a Director of Client Implementation at Health Plans, Inc. and Director of Client Services & Support at Centivo, Comins-Roberts has garnered holistic expertise in the self-funded industry by work extensively with both TPAs and brokers.
“I’m excited to be part of the launch of PDM 2.0, Phia’s next-generation platform designed to make plan drafting faster, smarter, and more efficient,” said Comins-Roberts.
“One of the most powerful enhancements in PDM 2.0 is Phiona, our AI agent built to assist clients throughout the drafting process. AI is now an integral part of the workflow, helping ensure accuracy and compliance while streamlining the user’s experience. Phiona can guide you to the relevant sections of the user guide, making it easier to navigate PDM 2.0 and take full advantage of its features.”
The Phia Group remains wholeheartedly invested in leveraging AI towards streamlining plan document creation and believes that Comins-Roberts’s strategic, client-centric approach, combined with her passion for educating others about regulatory changes in health plan benefits, will elevate PDM 2.0 to extraordinary heights for the betterment of its clients.
“In working with Jeannie in different capacities for many years, I have always valued her expertise in self-funded healthcare,” said Adam V. Russo, CEO of The Phia Group. “It is a privilege to now have Jeannie join our team, as she will be a tremendous asset to the development of PDM 2.0”
As a core feature of its ecosystem of services, PDM 2.0 promises to greatly expedite the process by which clients upload plan document information and make updates so they can ultimately produce 100-plus-page plan documents in under an hour. Plan document creation has long been perceived as a dayslong manual operation, but PDM 2.0, as the new industry standard for automation, will revolutionize the process by optimizing manpower efficiency and cost savings.
“I’m incredibly excited about how this new AI-driven PDM tool will completely transform the way drafting is done,” stated Jennifer McCormick, Sr. Vice President, Consulting. “By supplanting slow, manual processes with intelligent, streamlined workflows, we have the potential to clear long-standing plan document drafting backlogs and empower teams to move faster than ever before. This is a momentous development that will redefine what’s possible in our space.”
